Boulogne sur Gesse

Wecome to our little haven in the sun. 

Our house is on the edge of a quiet village of historic architectural significance, Boulogne sur Gesse. It is also close to Lourdes, Tarbe, Auch and Saint Gaudens.

The house sleeps six people in comfort . There is also a cot for small people up to the age of about three. There are three double bedrooms two shower rooms/toilets a sitting room on the first floor (with great views out to the mountains), a dinning room and well equipped kitchen downstairs. However, we find that most of the cooking and eating is done outside in the summer.

There is a good sized swimming pool and a private field where you can kick a ball around or play tennis, badminton and volley ball.

There is a TV, a DVD player and a wide collections of DVDs and CDs to chose from.

The village has a couple of bars and restaurants. There is also a very nice upmarket restaurant on the edge of the village.

The house is surrounded by beautiful scenery and historic villages and  it is not unusual to catch sight on an eagle flying overhead.

It is a great spot for sporting types as well as sight seers. For wind surfing and all sorts of other water sports there is a lake on the edge of the village. There is also a children's playground and swimming pool with flumes.

There is a beautiful golf course in neighbouring town of Lonbez, which is a good one to warm up on before tacking the larger courses at Pau and Lannemazan .

There are countless great walks and cycling routes (three bycycles are avaialble for guest to use. Please ask in advance if you want them). And if you prefer to drive there are many interesting towns and sights to be seen in the wider vicinity.

It is a short drive to the mountains (views of which can be seen from the house) and the nearest ski slopes are just 45 minutes away.
 

It is just an hour's drive to Spain where you can buy wine at even better prices than the French supermarkets.
