Hi Jeremy
All I can say is that you have a wonderful apartment! My party and I were very pleased with the welcome, layout and presentation. It was clean, airy and very comfortable. As for the views, they were stunning and everything was so easily accessible! Please say a big ‘Thank You’ to Diane for welcoming us so warmly. I think I can safely say that I will visit Edinburgh again and that I would be more than happy to book again.

We had a wonderful stay in Edinburgh. It was our daughter's graduation and it was a very nice ceremony. The apartment was perfect and Diane was very helpful and friendly.

Hi Jeremy
Just wanted to email to say thanks for having us at Abbey Arc. We found the apartment to be great - the box of toys was an added bonus and the views of Arthur's seat spectacular. We had a lovely time in Edinburgh.
With thanks

Had a fabulous week in Edinburgh. The apartment was perfect for our requirements - Me, Hubby 16 year old daughter and school friend. Took the open top bus tour, visited the castle, palace, beach at North Berwick, Parliament, The Elephant Cafe - "birthplace of Harry Potter", the Jazz Bar where we participated in a flamenco dance workshop and heard some great spanish guitar (we being classical guitar players ourselves!) Cycled down the Grand Union towards the Pentland Hills one day and along the Waters of Leith through Burano another day. Walked up Arthur's seat twice - fabulous views (envious of the 23 golf courses in Edinburgh we could see below us and no time to play this time), and cycled and jogged around it on the Queen's drive many times. The apartment is in a great position: for Sainsbury's, Leith cycles around the corner were very, very helpful as we hired a bike for our daughter's friend, which was a super new hybrid and they provided maps, helmet, locks and advice re routes etc. Despite a busy week, we somehow still found time to spend an afternoon shopping! Easy walk to the Royal Mile and the many super restaurants each evening - enjoyed Browns on George Street as we arrived - a familiar brand! then became more adventurous - had a real Indian at Suruchi on Nicholson Street - excellent food and service and they brought us complimentary Lassis. We did succumb to a taxi to visit the Sheeps Heid which Diane recommended and well worth the trip. Every evening we played the Rumikub championship.
Ran out of time to do all we wanted - Royal Yatch, Dungeons, Botanic Gardens, Sterling Castle, Museums, Cycle to Fife over the Forth Bridge, play golf....sounds like we need to return for another visit sometime!
Kind regards

My family had a great week in Edinburgh and found the apartment perfect for our needs. The apartment is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The apartment has a good range of books and games. My children enjoyed playing Monopoly and Othello in the evenings.
One tip I would mention for future customers is that it is very cheap to travel on the buses. £3.20 for an adult all-day ticket, and £2 for a child. You can travel throughout a very large area, not just in the city centre. One useful bus is the No.29 which you can get on just round the corner on the London Road, this goes all the way to the zoo, via Princes Street.
The zoo is fantastic, it’s the only one in Britain where you can watch the penguins going for a walk. Another place I would recommend is the Royal Yacht Britannia, which is at Leith Docks, next to a nice shopping centre. A walk to the top of Arthur’s Seat is very rewarding, and free (unlike all the other attractions). The views are great.
There are so many places to eat in the city centre. If you spend a day at the zoo and want somewhere cheap to eat, there is a Toby Carvery and a Wetherspoon nearby. They are a 15 minute walk (or a couple of stops on the bus) going away from the city, i.e. towards the airport. I think the area is called Drumbrae.
I will be recommending your apartment to members of my running club. About a dozen of us do the marathon each year, with most of them paying over £100 a night in hotels. The Abbey Arc is less than a mile from the start line so it would make an excellent place to stay.

Dear Jeremy
We are now back home after our brilliant Scottish holiday. Thank you very much for letting us use your lovely apartment - it was ideal for our family. We loved Edinburgh and really packed a lot in. Towards the end of the week, the Fringe was starting to get going with plenty of street entertainment and general jollity. We visited National Museum of Scotland, Royal Yacht, Mary King’s Close, Parliament, Adrian’s cycle tour, tour of Botanical Gardens, museum of childhood, the people’s story museum, Camera Obscura, climbed Arthur’s Seat...
We had some good food out, but can’t thank you enough for recommending The Manna House – absolutely wonderful!

The flat was lovely and clean and the info left was brill! Adored the view and, apart from torrential rain and floods on the day the men went to the tattoo, we were blessed with good weather and no haar!
We combined sightseeing with events from the fringe and also enjoyed the Tracey Emin exhibition. The flat was easy walking distance from all the main lively parts of the city, but we also used the buses and some taxis on the wet day! 21 month old granddaughter loved the Zoo and so did we! Restaurants all child friendly. Your neighbours were also very friendly and the sunsets and sunrise (seen once) were great to see from the lounge window!
All 5 of us were impressed and feel we had good value for money given the time of year in Edinburgh! Best wishes

Dear Jeremy
Our holidays were really great. Amazing town, nice people, Picasso and Warhol exhibitions, rugby at Murrayfield (my father is ex-league player and now he is a referee) ,no rain and great apartment. I see only one big mistake our stay was too short. I hope I'll come back next year. I'll recommend your apartment to my friends

Thank you for the wonderful weekend in Edinburgh. We just got in and already miss it there. What beautiful countryside a wonderful, friendly city. Some of the fringe visitors were a little scary but fun. We visited the castle, dynamic earth and spent a day at North Berwick at the Highland games. Beautiful weather on Saturday at North Berwick. We even got sunburned! The train set was an absolute hit with our two younger boys.
So much better than being cramped up in a hotel! You have a beautiful place. Thanks again

Hi Jeremy
We enjoyed our stay and the accommodation was great. It was also a great location for us to travel to and from the city. We recommend taking the tour buses to see the most of Edinburgh. The castle is also a must see. Princes Street is great for shopping and the gardens were nice too. Can't say much about the restaurants as we didn't eat out much. But definitely a place to see and well worth seeing again. Thank you again
