Posted by Carolyn on 02 December 2008 Just testing and Oh fascinating area. One day we'll come for a week or two. J J Mughrabi Posted by J J Mughrabi (Mr.) on 23 February 2009 THAT WOULD BE GRAND!! Posted by Mme. la proprietaire on 21 March 2009 The mobile home at Lanniron is lovely - it's very cosy and clean and has everything you need. It's a nice site - we had croissants every morning from l'epicerie, and one evening treated ourselves to a superb meal in the barn restaurant - filets mignons de porc, strawberry and raspberry compote - yum! We have had a lot of holidays in Cornwall and found many aspects of Brittany uncannily similar - right down to the region's name, Cornuaille. The old buildings around the chateau at Lanniron reminded us of the stone barns and other outbuildings at Trelissick. The Breton road signs were fascinating - the names had echoes of Welsh and Cornish place-names. The highlight of our holiday was our visit to Pont-Aven, a beautiful small town which reminded me of Betws-y-Coed in Wales. In the river there was an island with a garden on it, and lots of huge rocks, all linked together with the island and the town streets by a series of footbridges - most unusual. We also visited an artist's studio and a glass-blower's workshop while we were there. We recommend the very cheap ferry crossing by Condor Ferries - Portsmouth to Cherbourg.
