EXPLORING
The Misty Isle of Skye has the most spectacular scenery. It is dominated by the magnificent Cuillin Range which can be seen from many points of the island, each offering another breathtaking view.
Skye is renowned for its geological formations, the gabbro of the Black Cuillin, the hard granite of the Red Cuillin, the lava landscape of Quirang and Storr and the jurassic sandstone of the pitted rock at Elgol.
The wildlife is abundant around the rugged sea lochs where you may see dolphins, seals, whales otters and sea eagles. Deer are never far away.
With years of history behind it you will be immersed in the archaeology, the turbulent past and charming Gaelic folklore. There are many monuments, castles, folk museums, Scotch whiskey distilleries, art and craft galleries and visitor centres to enjoy.
