Lairg is perfectly placed in the centre of Sutherland, and a wide range of activities and beautiful scenery is within easy reach.  Here are some of the highlights which we would recommend that you explore in order to get the maximum enjoyment from your holiday.

 

The Lairg website www.visitlairg.com  is a useful starting point for those wishing to learn some of the history of the village, and for useful local contacts and information.

 

The nearby Falls of Shin www.fallsofshin.co.uk/ offers the only Harrods store outside of London, excellent food, forest walks, and the chance to see wild salmon leaping up the waterfalls of the river Shin.
