The villa is situated in the fishing village of La Gaulette , SouthWest of Mauritius, next to the peninsula of Morne Brabant. It is at the foot of the Plaine Champagne/Chamarel mountain range but only about 5 minutes away on foot from the coast

The coast itself has not got white sandy beaches, but you can take a 5-minute boat trip to the Ile aux Benitiers. You can equally go to the tourist resort and white sandy beaches of Morne Plage, about 4 minutes by car or bicycle or public transport.

Other landmarks within close distance are the 7-coloured earth of Chamarel, the Mauritius National Park, the breathtaking route of Plaine Champagne, Black River Gorges, the serene beach of La prairie, the natural lake of Grand Basin, and the beach resort of Flic En Flac.

A visit to the Kalimata Mandir ( Temple) at Surinam on the property of the Luchowa family built by their ancestor from India is also recommended.
