RED LION LOFT NEWS UPDATE – AUGUST 2016
These are our latest reviews!
REVIEWED BY DAVID AND SONYA FROM ADELAIDE, SOUTH EAST AUSTRALIA who stayed with us in August 2016 - visitors to Newark International Antiques Fair
Hi Louise and Neil,Hope you are well. Could you please do me a favour and create a profile for Red Lion Loft on TripAdvisor? I tried to create one but it won't let me since you are an "accommodation". I really would like to put up a review since it was such a lovely place. Best apartment stay we had on our trip to be precise. Thank you again for the lovely stay and hospitality you and Neil showed David and I. The jam is fabulous on Welsh cakes!
All the best to you and I hope we can return to stay with you again,
Kind regards & Thanks,
David and Sonya

Just wanted to say how comfortable we felt during our 5 night stay. The cosy living space was complimented by the well equipped kitchen area. Every night was sweet dreams in peace and tranquillity due to your secluded location. We were visiting friends and family in the area and found Blidworth so easy for our daily travel plans. We had everything we needed for a relaxing break including the extra coffee!
Thanks
ps. We bought a Nespresso coffee machine at House of Fraser in Metro Centre we liked it so much.

wonderful
I chose the Red Lion Loft as it had excellent reviews. I wanted somewhere quite near the Sherwood Forest area and I was not disappointed. ....when I entered the accommodation my first word was wow with a great smile on my face. I loved it, so many things packed in.....smart tv, dvd's, a superb digital radio, fantastic coffee maker, and I could go on...not to forget the hosts, both were lovely! ....simply a wonderful place to stay and explore the surrounding area. Wonderful!

We just wanted to say again how much we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Red Lion Loft. As soon as we stepped through the door we knew we’d found something special. Delicious light sponge cakes and homemade blackberry jam greeted us on our arrival and fine chocolate treats on our return visit. It was a real haven amidst the mayhem of moving house and instantly became a real home from home. You are clearly proud of the wonderful place you have created and rightly so, perfectly equipped, elegantly furnished and all to an exceptional standard. All on the edge of the countryside, fine dining literally at the end of the drive (Black Bull Bistro), lovely country pub (Fox & Hounds at Blidworth Bottoms) a nice 15 minute stroll down the lane and all the local facilities close by. We certainly highly recommend the Loft and hope that at some time our paths might cross again!
With very best wishes and many thanks

Hi, I just wanted to email to say how much we enjoyed our visit red lion loft, the apartement was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in, with everything you could possibly want, it was most certainly home from home. The little extra touches really made it special and thank you for the delicious cakes you left for us. We will certainly be recommending it to friends and family and also hope to return for another weekend later in the year, maybe end of november time. Thank you for such a warm welcome and some good tips on places to visit.
Many thanks again.

Excellent everything, apartment, owners, location, outside area, everything. If you are looking for a break, look no further!!! The apartment has everything you will need, from location to the nicest and most helpful owners we have ever had. They catered to our every whim, from where to go to how to get there to where to eat and drink. My wife loved the apartment so much, she would like to buy it and live there and it is so well fitted out, you easily could. As I said at the start, look no further you have found it.

Well appointed accommodation and good quiet location
Stayed at the Red Lion Loft to visit the area and have a central base. It proved to be most comfortable and home from home. Great facilities for eating in and cooking from scratch with all the utensils you could possibly need - nothing lacking to make life easy and comfortable. That said there are plenty of eateries in the very close vicinity. Again, making life easy whilst away from home. Spotlessly clean, and well appointed, accommodation. Excellent value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending Red Lion Loft.

A delightful hideaway on the edge of a village
Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and clean. Had all that you could possibly want for self-catering. Decor was modern without being over the top. Superb bathroom and kitchen. Only negative comment is that the lovely feather duvet was too thick!!
(Owners note: A lightweight summer duvet was stored in the wardrobe ready for use if preferred. As it was March, the winter duvet was supplied.)

Great value and everything you could every need
What a find! This apartment was perfect for what we wanted. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful and had thought of everything when designing this little retreat. It was a luxurious stay with gorgeous bedding, bath robes and towels. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could ever need and the owners had even left some milk and a delicious homemade Victoria sponge in the fridge too! The water in the town went off one morning too, totally out of their control, but they offered to go and get bottled water for us straight away - what fantastic service! There was a DVD player and a very good selection of DVDs to choose from including some quite new releases. Fantastic land and walks right out the back of the back of the apartment and shops only a couple of minutes down the road too. It was also fantastic value. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the owners as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

"The Red Lion Loft is perfect in every way. Beautifully furnished with top quality fittings, everything you could ever need and more. The owners of the property are two of the nicest and kindest people you could wish to meet. They made us so welcome and accommodated us at very short notice. Lots of information is provided about where to visit and where to eat. Safe and secure parking for 2 cars. A real gem. I could have stayed forever."

"This little hideaway was just perfect for us to base ourselves and it was very much a (luxury) home from home! Our two night stay was booked impromptu the day before we arrived and on arrival we were instantly put at our ease by the friendly owners who had patiently waited for us to arrive (much later than check in time) and on entering the loft apartment we were delighted by the quality and comfort of it, we immediately felt at home and relaxed!
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, and their professional but friendly approach was perfect for the setting. The beautiful apartment is definitely worthy of its 4* award, as its facilities were all brand new and of high quality. The bed was dreamy, very comfortable, made all the cosier with Egyptian cotton bedding which was divine!
The loft felt hideaway enough but only a 2 min drive from a shop, cash point and garage for all essentials, yet overlooks green pastures from the bedroom window.
We very much look forward to our next visit!
We will definitely return"

“Apologies for not emailing sooner, but Internet wasn't installed at our new house until yesterday. Thank you for a wonderful stay at the loft. It was so comfortable, so well equipped and you were so welcoming. Just what we needed while trying to sort out our new house which after being a building site for a few weeks is now looking like a home again. Many thanks from D and T.”
