Elsick House

Elsick House was originally built around the end of the  1800's and  is discreetly private offering the convenience of life within the Victorian village with the added peace and security of being situated within private grounds. The Bay Wing has its own unique character with original features throughout and is finished to the highest standards of luxury.  In 2008 this former youth Hostel was  divided into four wings each with its own door.   The house is adjacent to many walks, for instance down the roadside to the Village Square, or follow the signposted woodland walk to the top of Knockfarrel, a vitrified fort. Footpaths are all around the village and beyond and some 400 yards away around Loch Kinellan.

The village has much to offer the visitor with the Victorian Station which houses the Museum of Childhood, cafe, and shops. The Square has a chemist, grocers, hairdresser and gift shops. The famous Belgian Chocolate is not to be missed and the Red Poppy Restaurant within the Spa Pavilion is well worth a visit. In the Victorian gardens surrounding the Pavilion there are tennis courts and enjoy a leisurely walk round the gardens. Every Saturday evening at 8pm the Strathpeffer Pipe Band play in the Square.
