Reiff, Achiltibuie and Coigach 

Close by are many beaches. One is a few paces straight out of the front door, another a 20 minutes walk from the house at the far end of Reiff Loch. Great places for walking, rock climbing, fishing and exploring rock pools and picnicing. 

Hill climbing has abundant opportunities in the area with Stac Pollaidh nearby and other mountains and loch's to explore. Kayaking is available as well as cruises around the Summer Isles. 

The seacliffs at Reiff are well known to climbers for the type of sandstone and their suitability  for a range of abilities. If you're a climber the cottage at Reiff is your ideal base as it at the last house before the cliffs.

It is possible to order lobster, crab, scallop and even prawns locally and salmon can be bought at the world renowned Summer Isles Food's smokehouse. If you bring a fishing rod you can fish for your own seafood from the rocks nearby. 

 There are two shops a few miles away on the Achiltibuie coastline and fresh eggs and vegetables are available with 'honesty pots' from the sides of the road.

Ullapool is 45-60 minutes away where there is live music, bars, restaurants and shops and a Tesco supermarket is available. During the year Ceilidh's and dances with live music are held in the Coigach Community Hall in Achiltibuie. 

The Michelin starred restaurant The Summer Isles Hotel is a few miles away and good food is found at the pub in Altandu.
